Constitution of New Universal Balance Party

The New Universal Balance Party (UBP) is solely founded by Dr Shantanu Panigrahi of the United Kingdom on 9 January 2026. It is re-formulated by adaptation to https://www.thenewclimateformankind.com/post/a-new-charter-for-humanity-by-abhishek-prasad-of-india

-------------------------------------------------------------

Preamble: A Commitment to Renewed Purpose

The formation of the UBP is a response to the critical challenges facing our society. In an era marked by societal fragmentation, escalating political polarisation, and a significant decline in public trust, a new approach to governance is not merely desirable but essential. Our political landscape has too often become a battleground for competing interests rather than a forum for resolving shared national challenges. This movement emerges from the conviction that a path toward renewal is both possible and necessary. Spirituality in public life and its relationships to private appreciations of the hidden realities of the universe are not in synchrony.

Our foundational philosophy is the principle of coherence that balances practical governance with enduring ethical principles and spirituality. We seek to bridge the gap between the demands of everyday policy and the fundamental and universal truths that must underpin any just, stable, and sustainable society. This stems from our deepest appreciation on how the universe was created by God and how it is maintained through the harmony of interactions between different components in what is an intrinsic interconnected cosmology. Our purpose is to ensure that the pragmatic decisions of the present are accommodated within the Ultimate Reality with an informed clear-eyed view of our long-term collective well-being.

What the UK governance has not done well is to appreciate and incorporate universal spirituality in its secular-politics which the Founder of UBP as a self-realised soul sees as being a gross mistake. Existence takes place at various levels between the vyavaharika (the practical world life) and paramarthika ( the ultimate reality beyond mind and matter): these realms need to be balanced through the enactment of adjustments on a daily basis by the individual as well as the governance of the nation (which needs to draft policies that are in balance between these extremes of materialism and spirituality) and more widely humanity itself. This is what UBP philosophy rests on. Materialism and spirituality therefore need to be in balance too for a coherent and holistic approach to creating harmony in Nature. This is seen to be universal in terms of the belief that the cosmic law is the expression of Vedic Rtam righteousness and morality politics without which the planet Earth and the wider universe succumb to destruction and disharmony.

This constitution, therefore, formally establishes the principles, structure, and vision for a political movement dedicated to restoring fairness, integrity, and a sense of common purpose to public life. It is the foundational charter for a party that will champion evidence-based policy, reasoned debate, and a renewed commitment to the common good.

Article 1: Name, Identity, and Emblems The name, description, and emblems of the party have been carefully chosen to communicate our core values to the electorate. They serve as a clear and immediate signal of our commitment to moderation, integrity, and principled governance, distinguishing our approach from the divisive politics of our time.

1.1 Name: The official name of the party is the Universal Balance Party.

1.2 Ballot Description: The official description for use on ballot papers is: “Unity in Truth:

Balancing Liberty, Justice, Sustainability and Spirituality.” •

1.3 Emblems: The party has adopted the following emblems to represent its guiding philosophy:

◦ Primary Emblem: This emblem represents our unwavering commitment to integrity, transparency in government, and the formulation of policy based on verifiable evidence and reasoned analysis. (Mr Abhishek Prasad’s Emblem depicting Singularity)

◦ Secondary: Truth and Transparency

◦ Tertiary Emblem: Ashoka pillar depicting peace and rejecting wars to solve conflicts through spiritual-dialogue.

◦ Quaternary Emblem: Dharma-chakra Hindu deities

These symbols are the expression of the deeper philosophical principles upon which the UBP is built with advaitic and Vishistaadvaitic divergences of humanity held in the balance of governance. We appreciate that truth is the ideal utopian existence and we live in the present moment of irregularities both individually and in governance which must always be held in balance by adopting the path of being always law-abiding to the the functions of any State while aspiring evolutionarily towards the truth dream of the utopian paradise here on planet Earth.

Article 2: Core Principles of Spiritual Philosophy

This article constitutes the philosophical heart of the UBP. These integrated principles form a coherent ethical framework that guides all party actions, policies, and objectives. They are the intellectual and moral foundation for a principled and constructive alternative to the prevailing political discourse.

2.1 The Principle of a Coherent and Ordered Reality We proceed from the foundational understanding that existence is a single, interconnected system governed by inherent and discoverable laws of harmony and balance. Human society, the economy, and the natural world are not separate domains but are inextricably linked. Wise and effective governance, therefore, is the practice of aligning human activity—socially, economically, and technologically—with these fundamental principles. By doing so, we can foster profound societal well-being, ecological stability, and a sustainable future for generations to come.

2.2 The Principle of Principled and Proactive Engagement The party is committed to a mode of action defined by principled and proactive engagement. We champion a dynamic, constructive, and energetic force for positive change. This approach is consciously chosen to be distinct from two unproductive extremes: the passivity and complacency that allow problems to fester, and the reckless or destructive impulses that create instability and harm. Our philosophy is to channel focused energy, innovation, and resolve toward solving the most pressing national and global challenges thoughtfully and responsibly.

2.3 The Principle of Human Potential and Ethical Responsibility We believe that all actions, whether individual or collective, have consequences that shape our future. Humanity possesses an inherent capacity for continuous growth, learning, and ethical development. This principle translates into a core commitment to fostering a society that encourages lifelong learning, personal and institutional accountability, and the elevation of our collective consciousness toward greater compassion, wisdom, and foresight. This is not an abstract ideal, but a practical commitment to building social, educational, and political systems that enable every individual to realize their full potential and contribute meaningfully to the common good.

2.4 The Principle of Non-Violence and the Defence of Justice Our party holds a profound and primary commitment to non-violence, diplomacy, and the peaceful resolution of conflict as the highest ideals of a civilized society. This commitment, however, exists in balance with an equally paramount duty: the resolute defence of fundamental justice, universal human rights, and the protection of the vulnerable against aggression, tyranny, or systemic oppression. While peace is the goal, the active and courageous protection of righteousness is the non-negotiable foundation upon which true peace is built.

Together, this holistic philosophy provides the moral and intellectual foundation for building a just, prosperous, and sustainable future for all.
